It was a lovely night, until I tried to go to bed and realized...that feels like cramps. Ouch. Hey, that really feels like cramps. how long do these last? will they ever stop? oh, that's better.
~@4am~
Oh hey, I have to go to the bath-WTF? cramps again? they still hurt! and my back does too! and it's not going away! oh wait, that's better. but here comes a BH. and he's still kicking me. how does he have room?
um...this could be a sign of early labor, according to WTE (I was doing some light reading on the toilet). that means...
I NEED TO PACK MY BAG! I NEED TO FINISH MY STUFF AROUND THE HOUSE! IT LOOKS ATROCIOUS! WHO'S GOING TO WATCH MY DOG?
to be done list going through my head: iron my dish towels, open box of diapers, wash my CD's, get a basket for baby bath stuff, put sunchips in my hospital bag, buy yogurt...man. there's still a lot left to do! it's not like packing for vacation, apparently.
So, tonight, it's off to bru to get the last of my "vital" stuff on the registry, and maybe a dresser, as I've been told he'll have more things at christmas than can fit in his little shelving unit. man. I keep checking the tp, looking in the toilet, no "mucus" yet. The BH are getting a little more painful, but so far it just feels like cramps. I have to remind myself to keep drinking water also, I don't want to get dehydrated and then go into labor! Oh and on a more TMI note? I went to the bathroom 4 times yesterday. Of the non-peeing kind. Which I recalled at 4am when I was thinking of Liz, who went into labor & had her lovely baby the other day. AHHHHHH!

Bedding Poll results - love it.
Well, the Tall Tales bedding won! I was happy. It was my favorite, lol.
And then we went to register, and hubs fell in love with the Ahoy bedding at BRU. *sigh* That's just the way this stuff works, I guess. I gave him that one, as it was basically me who picked out everything else. And who probably will continue to pick things out!
So, I will keep my eye on the Tall Tales bedding anyway, just in case we don't get the BRU bedding. AND, I just bought 2 organic crib sheets from TheGap, so I'll be covered there just in case as well.

ok, registry.
I registered at BRU and Tarjay. I have no idea for what I registered, as I set both up online and then went to the stores to complete, and promptly forgot about it.
I wish there were something to say "here is what you will need" and "don't bother with this." I have tried to get recs as best I can - TB has a list, and so does BRU, and I do have a list of things that people haven't needed at all. But where do I stop? What about the things I want that aren't in the stores?
Here are some things I would like to get, but I've kind of resigned myself to watching sales, because I don't think anyone will buy these and they're not available in the stores I go to:
- muslin swaddling wraps
- cloth diapers
- washable baby wipes (aka cotton rags/washcloths)
- organic anything (cribsheets, mostly)
But no one ever tells you how much you need. How many of these suckers do I really need?
towels, short-sleeve onesies, long-sleeve onesies, pj's with feet, socks, washcloths, burp cloths, tees and pants, mittens, swaddling blankets, pacifiers, bottles, bibs
oh goodness. and then there are the sizes. start out with newborn? 0-3? how many 3-6? plan for long-sleeve only in 3-6 since he'll be born october-ish? will it be really cold in october? gar. I don't really want to buy anything now, as the usual around my area is that you will have a baby shower, but on the other hand - I want to stock this kid up!!!
Stuff I've Already Bought:
Guitar jumpsuit, 0-3
elephant onesie, 0-3
elephant blanket
elephant socks
blue sleeper gown, newborn
blue elephant bib w/ paci clip
Stuff I've "Inherited:"
two pairs mittens
hat & mitten set
pair of shoes
